Senior Accountant

Responsibilities:

1)Coordinating accounting functions and programs.
2)Preparing financial analyses and reports.
3)Preparing revenue projections and forecasting expenditure.
4)Assisting with preparing and monitoring budgets.
5)Maintaining and reconciling balance sheet and general ledger accounts.
6)Assisting with annual audit preparations.
7)Investigating and resolving audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-compliance.
8)Preparing federal, state, local, and special tax returns.
9)Contributing to the development of new or amended accounting systems, programs, and procedures.
10)Performing other accounting duties and supporting junior staff as required or assigned.
skills1)Proven experience as a Financial Controller, Accounting Supervisor, chief or senior accountant
2)Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures
3)In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
4)Awareness of business trends
5)Familiarity with financial accounting statements
6)Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
7)Hands-on experience with accounting software packages, like FreshBooks and QuickBooks
8)Advanced MS Excel skills
9)Accuracy and attention to detail
10)Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills
11)BS degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant
