Our client is looking for an Accountant for a 6-month contract with a vew to a possible permanent role.
This person must have worked with Africa countires accounting.
Duties will include:

* Daily processing of all General Ledger Entries
* Daily cash flow forecast update Budgets
* Reconciling & Daily Processing of creditors invoices
* Reconciliation of bank accounts
* Reconciliation of petty cash accounts
* Monthly preparing/reviewing reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts
* Account and expense payments via EFT
* Assistant to the Payroll accountant
* Assisting with Auditors and preparing working papers
* Upkeeping of FAR
* Ensuring management accounts are accurate and complete
* Consolidations
* Processing of all general ledger entries and supply invoices
* Preparing of daily cash flow forecast
* Reconciling and processing of creditors invoices
* Reconciling of bank accounts
* Reconciling of petty cash accounts
* Reconciling of General ledger
* Preparing and reviewing of reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts
* Account and expense payments via EFT
* Ensuring management accounts are accurate and complete
* Maintaining and reporting of fixed assets records
* Liaising with auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintained
* Preparing month-end journals
* Processing and submitting of VAT
* Maintaining subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions
* Balancing subsidiary accounts by reconciling entries
* Reconciling Intercompany loan accounts
* Preparation and submission of VAT and other relevant taxes
* Liasing with auditors and Revenue Authorities
* Preparing and loading EFT's
* Cashflow management
* Liasing with African entities staff
* Knowledge of tax practices in African countries
* Adhoc duties as required by management
