Purpose:
To do all the purchasing and receiving of stock required.
Do stock counts, job card and general administration in the department.
Major challenges:
To follow-up with suppliers to have the necessary documentation in time for month end processing.
* To ensure that the timing of deliveries meets the required need.
* Ensuring that quotes are received in time to enable the timeous placing of orders.
* To plan time management effectively to structure for the day to meet the varying challenges.
Key Performance Areas
To place orders for raw materials and equipment:
* Log all breakdowns and down time.
* Log all material issued and used.
* Receive all goods.
* Take charge of store
* Hand all documentation on time.
* Perform all duties as instructed by the FP Manager.
* Follow-up and ensure that orders are received in full.
* Record all job cards.
Qualifications:
Grade 12 and a Diploma in Procurement Management or Stock Control preferred.
Competency required:
* Knowledge of supply contracts and agreements.
* Proficient using Excel, aspects of Pastel, Microsoft outlook.
* Understanding of Stock control procedures.
* Work independently in meeting requirements.
* A team player in supporting work colleagues.
* Patience to deal with difficult situations under pressure.
