You will join our Finance and Systems Team

Studying through the apprenticeship levy, you will begin as a Financial Project Coordinator within the Business Finance team in the UK, providing financial project support to our colleagues across the UK Business.

 

Our Finance & Systems Team vision, ‘Collaboration Counts’ is to have ‘Engaged employees delivering insightful analysis to drive and support business success’. As a project business, the Financial Project Coordinator role is key to delivering on this vision. The role partners with Project Managers, supporting them with project finance insight to help drive the financial success of their projects.

 

Your key tasks and responsibilities will be:

  • Efficient project administration – Project creation, maintenance, and monitoring (Cost to complete etc.)
  • Effective project controlling – Risk / opportunity management of the portfolio, providing analysis, explanations, and commentary on profitability deviations.
  • Updating budgets on Maconomy (our internal system) at key times in the month, supporting accurate and timely revenue recognition.
  • Review invoicing plan & release of invoices for payment per project and approve with project managers
  • Process and archive final invoices, send to client in the appropriate way
  • Monthly finance reviews with PM’s - provide project status updates 
  • Monthly meetings with project controllers to discuss issues.
  • Ad hoc financial analysis and reporting
  • Involvement in improvement projects & continuous improvement initiatives

  • Grade C or above in at least 5 GCSEs including English and mathematics  
  • Good attention to detail and can stay on top of tasks
  • Able to focus on business needs and set high standards for quality
  • Able to take responsibility for actions and projects
  • Good time management skills to manage to deadlines
  • Effective communicator

 

This position includes fully supported study towards Level 4 CIMA (18 months), and then moving onto Level 7 CIMA (36 months) with BPP university. After which you will become a fully qualified Chartered Global Management Accountant by the end of the overall apprenticeship.

 

Applicants with a relevant degree or qualification may be applicable for exemptions and may qualify to be able to start from the Level 7 CIMA Apprenticeship.
