The Company

My client is a New Zealand owned company that operates nationwide and has a number of subsidiaries. The operate across a number of industries, but mainly in the construction and engineering services. They have a strong and supportive culture that offer flexibility with hybrid WFH options.

The Role

You will report directly into the Payroll Manager, working in a team of 4 Payroll officers. You will be helping with the BAU as well as assisting with project work. This is a large organisation where the workload is split out by entities.

Duties

Your responsibilities include:
  • Responsible for covering payroll functions of different entities within the company across NZ
  • Preparing and ensuring reporting and legislation filing obligations are met.
  • Manage and update payroll data - to ensure accurate recording of data.
  • Calculating multiple payrolls, ensuring staff are paid on time and correctly.
  • Answering payroll question and queries.
  • Calculation of special payments and preparation of reports and audits when required.
  • Preparation of reporting as required
  • Ad-hoc duties


Skills & Experience
  • New Zealand Payroll experience
  • Knowledge of NZ Payroll legislation
  • High attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Strong written and verbal communication
