They are a privately held real estate investment firm with multiple properties across the US. This real estate firm has a long history in the Colorado market and is well respected in their industry. Primary Responsibilities for the Senior Fund Accountant:
- Working closely with the Fund Accounting manager through the daily accounting processes for Fund entities, coordinating with property accounting, finance, and capital contributions.
- Prepare general ledger accounting reconciliations, research unique transactions, prepare fund consolidations.
- Complete terminal distribution calculations and prepare the related cash transfers; assist with the preparation of monthly/quarterly consolidated fair value financial statements, footnotes, and internal reporting packages.
- Assist with process improvements, policies and procedures.
- Manage cash flow and approve payable fund invoices; prepare wire payments for invoices, acquisitions, debt, distributions, and capital calls. Investor Relations
- Coordinate and support external auditors and tax return filings.
- Prepare supporting schedules for quarterly investor requests; ad-hoc reporting and analysis; compliance testing
Position Requirements for the Senior Fund Accountant:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Ideally 3+ years relevant real estate or fund accounting experience
- Public Accounting or Real Estate investment industry experience a plus
- Advanced analytical skills; Advanced Excel required
