Opportunity for an Intermediate Accountant to progress to Senior within an Accountanting firm with an international presence
The Business

We have a fantastic opportunity for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Intermediate Accountant who is looking to really make their mark within a highly progressive firm based off of St Kilda Road. Building on your existing knowledge, you will be joining a team of dynamic, passionate and talented individuals within a 40+ staff firm that are a part of a Top 20 AFR network. The firm is split across two teams that work across their entire client base, giving the successful applicant access to a diverse range of clients. A large share of their clientele are in the Pharmaceutical space, the rest of the base is built up of a broad range of industries.

The Role

The role is a 50/50 split between compliance & advisory, which is rarely seen at an Intermediate level, allowing the opportunity to get your hands on high level work such as restructuring & consolidation, liaising with internal finance teams, M&A, estate planning and growth strategy. Culture is paramount to the firm, they have an active social committee that organizes regular events such as nights out to the footy, golf competitions, tennis competitions and Friday drinks. They place high emphasis upon the health and development of their staff and offer monthly internal training.
Other duties include:

• Preparing financial statements, tax returns for large entity groups and high net worth individuals
• Assisting Seniors in delivering high level advisory to a large portfolio
• Attending tax planning meetings
• Assisting clients on the phone with technical queries
• Liaising with admin to ensure work is ATO & ASIC compliant

About You

• 2.5 years experience
• CA/CPA or studying
• Confident meeting with clients & able to build rapport
