Opportunity for an experienced Accountant to join an innovative, tech start-up!

This innovative start-up has a reputation for developing unique, cutting-edge technology. Over the last several years, they have experienced impressive growth, and they have successfully partnered with numerous industry leaders. With EOFY approaching, an opportunity now exists for an experienced Financial Accountant to join their team on a contract basis for approximately three months.

The role

Reporting through to the Finance Manager your duties will include:

• Month-end reporting, accruals, adjusting journals and reconciliations
• Financial statement preparation and variance analysis
• Budgeting and cash flow management
• Preparation of statutory tax obligations, e.g., FBT, BAS, PAYG etc.
• Supporting annual audit process
• Collaborating with the broader team to ensure the accounting function complies with relevant standards
• Additional accounting tasks as required by the business

About you

• Accounting experience - either in a commercial company or within professional practice
• Tertiary qualifications in accounting plus CA/CPA is desirable
• Exception attention to detail and the ability to operate with minimal supervision
