This is an exciting time to join Queen’s as we embark on the next phase of our development as a University. Our recently launched ten-year plan, Strategy 2030, sets out our ambitions to shape a better world through our education and research and reflects the changing external environment and new opportunities, including those identified in the recently launched Belfast Region City Deal (BRCD). To help achieve our ambitions we are seeking to expand our Finance Team by recruiting an Accounts Payable Manager.

About the Role: You will lead a team which is responsible for the University’s Accounts Payable function, ensuring the accurate and timely service delivery of all payment activities, and compliance with all accounts payable policies, procedures and financial controls. You will work closely with other teams in Finance and across the University to provide advice, guidance and analysis to internal and external stakeholders as required.

About You: With a degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field you will have substantial and significant management experience in an Accounts Payable / Finance environment in a large, complex organisation. You will have knowledge of complex finance and Accounts Payable systems, experience of digital transformation, and continuous improvement of finance transaction processing. Applicants with a lower relevant qualification with specialist and significant experience of managing an accounts payable function, within a large, complex organisation, will also be considered.
