A fabulous employer based in beautiful state of the art offices in Llansamlet, Swansea. They are working on a hybrid basis - 3 days in the office, 2 days working from home.

I am looking for a talented accountant - for initially a 6 month contract …to come in as an interim management accountant/analyst while they restructure the department - working in small friendly team there….business partnering across all areas of the business/monthly management accounts/accruals & prepayments/bonus provisions/recharges....VAT...PAYE….The Head of Finance also wants the temp to hopefully value add by looking at better controls in the department...be her eyes and ears a little - she is certain there are efficiencies to be made.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare monthly expense reports across all group companies
  • Prepare and reconcile monthly recharges
  • Preparation of monthly journals
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Prepare group and entity expense packs and cost centre reports as required
  • Preparing the core data for the group's quarterly VAT return, assisted by technical input from the group reporting team
  • Business partnering with cost centre heads to discuss budgets/forecasts and performance
  • Produce reconciliations for balance sheet accounts in the group service companies
  • Assist in the preparation of specific MI as defined in relation to the IT strategy and other projects in their transformation program
  • Maintain the fixed asset registers; review and capitalisation of expenditure and depreciation processing
  • Produce the core data for the annual PAYE Settlement Account (PSA) return, to be reviewed by the Group Reporting Manager
  • Liaise with key departments - payroll, procurement, finance systems
  • Be proactive in reviewing ways to simplify processes and reduce costs
  • Adhoc tasks as required by the Finance Manager
