Part Time Assistant Accountant, Permanent Job, £28,000 - £32,000, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire

We are pleased to be working with a growing organisation based in central Cambridge linked to the university of Cambridge. They are looking for an experienced assistant accountant to join their busy finance team on a part-time basis (24 hours per week).

Your new role
Reporting into the Finance Manager, this role will involve reconciling the control accounts, bank reconciliation, supporting year end audit, processing prepayments and accruals, reviewing payroll as it is processed, sales ledger invoicing, assisting the purchase ledger clerk with any queries, VAT returns and maintaining the fixed asset register.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be an experienced 'all round' bookkeeper with excellent communication skills and a keen eye for detail. You will be AAT qualified or QBE and technically you will hold a strong working knowledge of debits/credits and control account reconciliation. Systems wise they are currently using Xero, experience in this is desirable but not essential as training can be provided.

Our client are offering £28,000 - £32,000 (pro rata) with 28 days annual leave (not including statutory holidays). They are also offering the ability to work from home. This role is for a 24 hour working week.
