You're a highly experienced purchase ledger clerk, with a construction background, looking to join a small, friendly team.

Your experience means you're confident in the complexities of VAT in construction and CIS.

Since this is office-based, you'll like working in a small team day to day, helping and supporting each other and the human interaction that's lacking when working from home.

You'll work for a business that was turning over £4m three years ago and has now reached £12m, continues to grow and this includes plans to expand into Europe in 2023. They're in maintenance and installations and recently added health and safety to their offering.

Growing means they are making big changes to ensure they are attractive to new employees but currently a package of 30 days annual leave including bank holidays (you'll need to save some for Christmas close), a good AXA healthcare policy and a brand-new non-discretionary bonus scheme is being implemented ( they're just ironing out the details).


Pension is statutory but they acknowledge this might become part of your remit to look around at improving in time.


However, the job is not WFH or hybrid - it's working from offices Monday to Friday, now the country is getting into something resembling 'normal' after COVID. Hours are 8.30 am to 5 pm. If you need to tweak those a bit to fit around another commitment, we'll ask.
