Assistant Accountant Lincoln £25k - £30k & study support

A family-owned business are looking for an ambitious Assistant Accountant to join their Finance team, supporting them in delivering insight and control at the heart of a diverse and growing consumer-focused business.

The role of Assistant Accountant

Assist in the production of monthly management accounts (accruals, prepayments, journal posting)

Preparation of unit P&L reports and balance sheet reconciliations

Assist in production of accurate and timely KPIs and variance analysis

Assist with preparation and analysis of all stock items in the business

Produce ad-hoc analysis to support month-end

Assist in the management of the Fixed Asset register

Produce Project tracker spend vs Budget

Assist with the budget and forecasting processes

Assist in year-end and audit preparation

The ideal candidate for the role of Assistant Accountant

Studying for a formal accounting qualification ACCA/CIMA

Experience in monthly management accounts preparation

Proficient user of Microsoft Excel, e.g., vlookups, pivot tables, sumif formulas
