Accounts Assistant
37.5 hours per week (Monday - Friday)
£23,000 per annum
Fixed term (12 months) to cover maternity leave
Based in the North-East of England, my client supply market leading products to the agricultural, construction, automotive, and industrial sectors.
They need a capable, adaptable, and motivated individual to join the Finance Team and support the effective financial management of the business, to provide cover for a period of maternity leave.
The Role Involves
* Being the main contact for a range of financial transactions
* Excellent communication skills are required
* The ability to manage workload
* Work with a level of autonomy to process payments and post invoices, using bespoke software systems as required.
* Jointly ensure the company's finances are recorded and reported in a timely and accurate manner.
* Provide analytical support to other departments as required.
* Job Purpose Previous experience in a similar role would be an advantage, along with AAT Level 2.
Main Duties
Accounts Payable
* Match and record all purchase invoices according to SOP
* Raise and investigate queries
* Processing on time payments to vendors
* Reconciliation reports and vendor statement reconciliations
* Preparation of month end reporting including, but not limited to, GRNI and GIT analysis
Accounts Receivable
* Issuing of monthly statements to customers in a timely manner
* Processing of receipts
* Reconciliation of customer accounts
* Raising and investigate queries
