Manager Sanctions Assurance
Do you have Risk and Controls assurance experience in the banking sector with knowledge of international trade and finance? SME Sanction assurance?
Our client is a large banking organisation having engaged Tyler Wren to assist with their need for specialist skillsets within Sanctions Assurance. The role will be based in Auckland.
This role sits within the Financial Crime team playing a key role in enabling legitimate international trade and finance ensuring that legal, regulatory and policy obligations comply with all sanctions. You will be managing the implementation, operation and continuous improvement of sanctions control focusing on the internal bank's frameworks, policies and procedures.
You will work with the business to maintain and develop procedures to comply with sanctions policy whilst providing the business with subject matter expertise and providing strategic advice on Sanctions risks processes. The assurance functions of the role will look to you to ensure controls and operational processes are designed to mitigate risk. You will enhance existing controls through reviewing findings from the audit, testing and assurance reviews helping drive collaboration with the broader financial crime risk, operations and 1LOD risk teams.
About you:
Risk and controls assurance experience is essential in this role including banking sector experience. You may also have regulatory oversight and compliance obligations experience in your career profile. Good working knowledge of international trade and finance including skills in complex analysis and risk management.
You will be able to multi-tasks simultaneously across a number of requests and deadlines. An outcomes-based focus with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail. Demonstrated experience in taking initiative and the ability to work independently.
