A regional Accountancy Practice are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to provide financial information directly to the firms Partners. This is a varied accounting position where continued professional development is at the core of the business.The successful Bookkeeper will have gained previous Bookkeeping experience in practice or industry and knowledgeable in relation to cloud based accountancy packages. responsibilities:
Manage transactional processes including purchase ledger and sales ledger.General bookkeeping processes for the business, VAT processes, tax returns, reconciliations of the accounts, bank reconciliations and paying suppliers.Recording, reconciling, and issuing expense claims and payments.Preparing and uploading supplier payment runs to firm banking system.Provide updates in the firm accounts and be involved in month/year end processes. Managing and filing of relevant documentation.Preparation and submission of VAT returns for the firm.Undertake client work if required.Person Specification;Strong bookkeeping skillsUse of cloud accountancy packagesAAT Level 4 (or working towards)Well-organised, good team player, problem-solving approach.This is an excellent opportunity to develop within a varied and progressive accountancy practice.Working Hours: Monday-Friday 37.5 hours per week, hybrid working from home options are available.If this role is not quite right for you but would like to refer a suitable candidate, be sure to make the most of our £250Candidate Referral Scheme.
