The Company

The organisation are a small family run enterprise with offices in St Kilda. Offices are located towards Melbourne's northern suburbs. They are looking for a dedicated Accounts Payable and Receivable Officer for this opportunity. This is an immediate start position, initially on a contract basis until the end of September. 5 days per week will be based on site in St Kilda. Parking available.

The Role

This is a minimum 4-month position and sits within the core finance team, reporting directly to the Finance Manager. We expect that the role will start on a temporary basis to support the existing Finance team with peak workload .

We are aiming for a quick commencement. Start date as early as Monday the 30th of May.

You will support the wider accounting team and focus predominantly on Accounts Payable and Receivable tasks initially:

Typical day to day duties will involve:

• Helping with the processing of vendor and supplier payments (AP)
• Checking and coding all payments
• Handling supplier queries and statement reconciliations
• Monitoring AP inbox for supplier queries
• Credit card reconciliations
• Administration support
• Invoicing and sending statements to customers to prompt payment
• Actively making calls and sending details to customers behind with payments
• Reconciliation of accounts and allocation of incoming payments

This position is office based with 5 days a week on site in St Kilda.

It's a fast paced and ever-changing environment which requires a strong work ethic and ability to hit the ground running.

Your Profile

You will have a background in Accounting and Finance with a minimum of 1 years' experience in a similar position. The following attributes will also be highly advantageous:

• Minimum 1 years Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable experience
• Comfortable working in St Kilda 5 days per week
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Able to commence ideally by Monday 30th of May and commit until the end of September
