Our client an International Market Leader, based in Woking Surrey are currently recruiting for a Finance Assistant to join the team

Description

As the Finance Assistant based from Woking, Surrey will be responsible for the purchase invoices for our Europe entity which includes Woking, Aberdeen & Paris. As well as helping with the accurate preparation, review, and control of financial management reporting for the Australian entity.

Typical duties will include:

• Full management of the purchase ledger

• Full management of employee expenses, company credit cards, petty cash float and transaction register.

• Assist with the sales invoicing and debtor chasing

• Creating supplier payments using the online banking system

• Proactively participating in continuous improvement

Supporting the Financial Director with preparation of monthly management accounts for our Australian entity. Including but not limited to:

• Month end reconciliations

• Preparing monthly prepayments and accruals and maintaining fixed asset register

• Preparing and entering journals and reviewing accounts for anomalies

• Assisting with forecast process

• Liaising with external auditors on audit requests

Profile

• Relevant Accounting Experience
• Previous experience of using an accounts system - Microsoft Navision an advantage but not essential
• Good Excel skills
• Be highly organised and able to work on own initiative
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Be able to work in an environment which is undergoing change due to development and growth
