Our client an International Market Leader, based in Woking Surrey are currently recruiting for a Finance Assistant to join the team
Description
As the Finance Assistant based from Woking, Surrey will be responsible for the purchase invoices for our Europe entity which includes Woking, Aberdeen & Paris. As well as helping with the accurate preparation, review, and control of financial management reporting for the Australian entity.
Typical duties will include:
- Full management of the purchase ledger
- Full management of employee expenses, company credit cards, petty cash float and transaction register.
- Assist with the sales invoicing and debtor chasing
- Creating supplier payments using the online banking system
- Proactively participating in continuous improvement
Supporting the Financial Director with preparation of monthly management accounts for our Australian entity. Including but not limited to:
- Month end reconciliations
- Preparing monthly prepayments and accruals and maintaining fixed asset register
- Preparing and entering journals and reviewing accounts for anomalies
- Assisting with forecast process
- Liaising with external auditors on audit requests
Profile
- Relevant Accounting Experience
- Previous experience of using an accounts system - Microsoft Navision an advantage but not essential
- Good Excel skills
- Be highly organised and able to work on own initiative
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be able to work in an environment which is undergoing change due to development and growth
