Our client

u&u Recruitment Partners are proudly partnering with an ASX Listed company in recruiting a senior accounts payable officer, who will be responsible for the solo end to end payables process. This position has development opportunities with view to take on the responsibility of a small payroll.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and enter expenditure transactions into the accounting system ensuring ordering, receival and approval processes are correctly observed;
  • Maintain, enter and reconcile company credit cards and ensure that we have the associated paperwork;
  • Pay accounts in accordance with vendor payment terms using the accounting system;
  • Complete weekly and monthly payment runs for payment of vendors;
  • Liaise with vendors in relation to queries and outstanding invoices / supplies;
  • Liaise with group business units to ensure that purchasing and associated processes are observed and function in a streamlined and effective manner;
  • Complete daily updates to the Cash Flow spreadsheets with actual data for all entities within the Australian Group;
  • Assist the Financial Controller with cash flow forecasting with the estimation of vendors within the Australian Group;
  • Coordinate the set up new vendors in the accounting system and continually monitor vendors in in the accounting system; and
  • Obtain foreign currency funds as required by Travellers and complete monthly foreign currency advances reconciliations and complete journals.

About you
  • Minimum of four years' experience in an end to end accounts payable position;
  • Multicurrency experience is highly advantageous;
  • Experience with large ERP such as Pronto, SAP, AX, 365, Netsuite;
  • Eager to own the payables function and happy to take on additional finance duties;
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work in a team as well as autonomously; and
  • Strong analytical skills, problem solving skills & stakeholder engagement.
