Leading Australian owned and operated provider of equipment and services to the construction sector seek a FT Accounts Receivable Officer. NW Sydney.

Zoom Recruitment are partnering with a long established 100% Australian owned and operated company who have grown to become a major force in the supply and operation of equipment found on some of Australia's largest commercial & residential construction, infrastructure, government and mining projects.

THE POSITION

A full-time position currently exists for an experienced Accounts Receivable Officer who will join the company's Finance team and maintain and reconcile debtor accounts and ensure their timely settlement while actively promoting positive relationships both externally and internally. Reporting to the Finance Manager this is a stand-alone role within the team Monday to Friday.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Receipt and apply debtor payments to cash and credit accounts accordingly
  • Process credit applications and conduct trade reference checks
  • Reconcile debtor accounts on a regular basis and follow up on any outstanding payments
  • Investigate and resolve queries
  • Bank receipting / reconciliation for multiple entities
  • Send voucher reports and statements to debtors on a monthly basis
  • Email invoices to customers weekly
  • Data entry
  • Assist with other accounting projects as directed
  • Work effectively and positively within a team environment

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
  • Previous 2 years minimum experience in a similar role
  • Proven ability to work with numbers and figures
  • An understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to work with stakeholders from all business areas
  • Strong time management and organisational skills
  • Strong attention to detail and an analytical approach
  • Excellent working knowledge of MS Office and related software
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and autonomously
  • Ability to identify process improvements
