In this newly created role within the Economic Crime Risk Management team, you'll be instrumental in ensuring corporate clients are appropriately risk assessed, screened, and monitored. You'll be leading and overseeing the day-to-day operations for the Sanctions Advisory function.

The difference you will make.

  • Managing and developing a team of Financial Crime (FC) Subject matter experts
  • Providing advice and guidance on Anti-Money Laundering, Sanctions and Anti-Bribery and Corruption risk
  • Advising on the FC Risk and Impact Assessment of new regulation or business initiatives
  • Assisting the implementation of relevant FC Policy requirements
  • Supporting investigation teams to provide more holistic and targeted advice/review of an alert customer's business model and activities
  • Guiding investigation teams and Front-Line business staff responding to queries or escalations
  • Conducting ongoing improvement activity across the control model, including requesting enhancements.

What you will bring.

We are looking for people who can help shape, influence and transform the bank's capabilities, ensuring we continue to disrupt financial crimes, and support and enable the right outcomes for our customers.

  • You'll be a strategic thinker with in-depth Sanctions subject matter expertise with a proven track record of leading high-performing Financial Crime teams.
  • You'll have proven ability to drive efficiencies and produce metrics demonstrating the performance of a team.

It would also be nice for you to have.

  • Experienced with senior stakeholder management
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skill.

This is a permanent role and can be based in our London, Milton Keynes, Glasgow, Bradford or Sheffield offices.
