Senior Cost Controller
Port Elizabeth (Gqeberha)
Job Function
To manage a team of Cost Controllers and control costs via preferential contracts with suppliers, monitoring contract rates vs actual costs, evaluating suppliers, preparing RFQs, assist in designing process flows and work flow requests on Prisma.
Key performance areas

* Source suppliers and evaluate against actual performance
* Calculate and oversee billing to clients based on contracts
* Analysis of costs vs client contract vs budget and advise actions required
* Operational performance reviews
* Standard payment schedule
* Maintain preferred supplier list
* Asset register administration (Monthly)
* Assist with monthly accruals
* Review creditors reconciliations & creditors queries & preparing lists for the operations (Monthly)
* Maintain Material Handling Equipment (MHE) Schedule
* Create budgets for each operation.
* Monitor operation's performance against budgets and have operations complete and comment monthly.
* Create a standard cost list for RFQs to be updated every 6 months
* Develop work flow processes and requests on Prisma
* Supervise junior cost control team employees
Qualifications required

* Bachelors Degree (3 years) / NQF level 7
* (Bachelors degree / NQF level 7. For example, a BA, B Com, BSc or equivalent 3 year degree)
Skills and experience required

* Up to 5 years' Experience
* High level of computer proficiency
* MS Word, MS Excel advanced, MS PowerPoint
* Fluency of numbers

* Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, the financial markets, banking and the analysis and reporting of financial data.
Mathematics

* Knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications.
