Our client in the Automotive Manufacturing industry is seeking to employ a Senior Material Expeditor to join their company.
Duties include:

* Must be able to fully understand customer demand and forecast
* Analyze MRP Reports and send weekly releases to the supplier base
* Micro-manage expediting of Raw Materials from ALL Local and International
* Suppliers and Customers.
* Daily tracking and monitoring of Inventory, while ensuring no impact to production, to ensure targets are met.
* Ensure Safety stocks are kept at the required level based on customer demand to avoid any production stoppages
* Daily communication with Freight Forwarders regarding Import & Export of Raw
* Materials
* Ensure Inbound and Outbound Freight targets are met.
* Ensuring smooth implementation of the new projects
* Keep airfreight at an absolute minimum
* Keeping obsolescence to an absolute minimum
Minimum Requirements:

* Recognized Degree or Diploma in Logistics
* Minimum of 5 Years of experience in Logistics Automotive Industry
* Very strong Analytical skills, Accuracy, and "Attention to Detail"
* Organizational skills essential, with the ability to work under pressure.
* Ability / Flexibility in working extended hours when required, is essential.
* Experience in management of other Material Expeditors and Cycle Counter
* Good decision-making skills, with strong problem-solving skills
* High level knowledge and experience on Import and Export shipments
* High level knowledge of Inventory management and skills
* Detailed understanding of all OEM requirements and forecast to determine trend
