Based in the CBD, our client is looking for a Management Accountant to help with forebudget reporting , cost accounting and analysis.
About our Client

This progressive State Government department has a vacancy for a technically astute Management Accountant with exceptional business partnering skills, strong analytical skills, and the ability to adapt to changes with ease.
This contract is for a period of 3 months, and has the chance of an extension.

About the Management Accounting role A06
You will be reporting to the Director of Finance and will focus on:

• Ensuring budget management and variance analysis functions are conducted to a high standard
• Prepare monthly management reports including forecasting and analysis
• Ensure appropriate records are prepared and retained
• Provide support, advice, and insight as required to key stakeholders
• Assist in building and implementing improved processes
• Lead a number of cost accounting initiatives

As the successful Management Accountant you will possess:

• Experience with SAP
• Advanced levels of proficiency in Excel
• Experience in working within a Public Sector environment
• High-level stakeholder engagement skills
