Your new role
This is a challenging role that requires the successful candidate to support and actively contribute to the successful delivery of large-scale complex projects which contribute to the organisations efficiency, savings and growth programme in line with their strategic objectives..

The Finance Business Partner will liaise with the Chief Finance Officer, Chief Accountant and Head of Programmes and Projects in support of the work connected to the Medium-Term Financial Strategy, Budget Setting and efficiency, savings and growth programmes that are overseen by the Corporate Finance department and Strategic Change team.


What you'll need to succeed

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

• Ability to input into organisational strategy, financial planning, resolving business problems and make recommendations.
• Ability to engage a business cases process and provide detailed advice and guidance on all aspects of the submission, identifying inter-dependencies with change programmes, associated risks, governance routes and identify benefits of the proposal.
• Experience of working in both a busy and focused financial environment and have an excellent knowledge of financial accounting systems.
• Evidence of a proactive and innovative approach to work by exploring and presenting options to a wide range of senior stakeholders at project boards.
• Excellent negotiating and influencing skills are necessary to deliver an optimum finance provision to the various projects.

This opportunity would suit a highly motivated and dynamic individual who can utilise their wide experience of working within senior finance roles in order to contribute to the strategic objectives of the organisation.

A full CCAB qualification is essential for this role

This role is offered o a hybrid basis with the expectation on being onsite approx 60% of the time (or 3 days a week) However they are open to flexible working arrangements, and compressed hours etc as the standard working week is 37 hours.
