We are seeking an energetic and passionate Senior Accountant to join the fast-paced and dynamic environment of CARS24. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be directly responsible for all inventory accounting, as well as overseeing the revenue team. As a senior member in the finance team, you will also be responsible for coaching and mentoring an up and coming team, as driving continuous improvement across all accounting and financial processes within the business.

Requirements

Managing a team of four people offshore, you will be responsible for:

• Overseeing all aspects of accounting for inventory and revenue.
• Analysing our product costs and identifying trends.
• Ensuring all month end procedures are completed accurately and in accordance with communicated timeframes.
• Working closely with the Accounts Payable team, key vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure cut off processes are effective and reporting is accurate.
• Manage the month end review process and ensure all reconciliations are prepared and reviewed before the month end reporting cut-off.
• Ensuring all relevant accounting standards and principles for your areas of responsibility are complied with.
• Developing better processes and procedures for your areas of responsibility.
• Leading a business partnering approach to your areas of responsibility, such that your work is led by a knowledge of the underlying business and supporting your offshore team in doing the same
• Year end processes, including responding to audit queries.
• Training and supervision of staff, as required.
• Ad hoc reporting and analysis, as required.
• Providing support to the broader team as and when required.
