The role
Reporting to the Senior Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for a mix of transactional and financial accounting tasks.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Bank reconciliations
- Balance Sheet reconciliations
- Month-end and year-end financial reporting
- Month-end closing process
- Variance analysis
- Maintenance of the fixed asset register
- Assist in maintaining banking, assets and credit card functions
- Other ad hoc tasks as required
- Excellent knowledge of financial accounting and accounting principles
- Tertiary qualification in Accounts / Finance / Business or Commerce
- Experience within an Assistant Accountant role
- Experience within a not-for-profit organisation. Experience within the disability sector and exposure to NDIS being highly regarded
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
