School Leaver Finance Assistant - Insurance Broker - City of London (Hybrid) - £20,000 + Study Support


Your new company
You will be joining one of the world's leading independent Insurance Brokers as a Finance Assistant within the IBA team on a full-time, permanent basis. Part of a large finance function with plenty of progression and development opportunities for the future, you will report into the Financial Controller who will be there to support your training and onboarding from day one. Based in their modern City of London offices at least three days per week, you will have the option to work from home for the remaining two days.

Your new role
In your new role, you will be responsible for ensuring funds are invested appropriately, dealing with bank queries, ensuring all bank accounts are in credit at all times, entering cash movements on Excel, ensuring all cashbooks are up to date, calling money off, putting money on deposit and building payments for multiple banking platforms. You will produce timely management information on a regular and ad-hoc basis, and ensure received cheques are banked within twenty four hours of receiving them.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed in this role, you will need to be a hard-working, ambitious, inquisitive and engaging individual with a keen eye for a detail and a willingness to learn. You will be a recent school leaver who achieved a minimum B grade at Maths GCSE. You will ideally have some part-time work experience where you faced customers and delivered good service. You will be competent with the use of Microsoft Office programmes including Excel, Word and PowerPoint. You will have a desire to continue studying further, towards AAT, ACCA or CIMA.
