Commercial Finance Business Partner - Interim 6 month contract

6 month Fixed Term Contract - Hybrid/Colchester £40,000 to £45,000 plus benefits

Your new company
Fast growing technology and specialist services business based in Colchester, Essex are looking to recruit a Commercial Finance Business Partner on a 6 month fixed term contract basis. The role is hybrid; initially with a little more time in the office while you learn the role and the business, once up to speed the role will be more home based with occasional travel to the office in Colchester for meetings.

Your new role
The Commercial Finance Business Partner will work closely with the Commercial Finance Manager and the Head of Commercial to support the delivery of strategic, operational, commercial and financial objectives of the group.

• Work with Internal IT department to ensure data and reporting meets the clients demands and internal analysis of performance.
• Support the control of client expenditure to meet budget and contractual targets.
• Lead the client in their budgeting and forecasting process.
• Proactively analyse trends to provide insight into decision making and identification of new opportunities.
• Collaborate with the Client Services and Technical Services teams to ensure transparency and management of aged accruals.
• Assist with commercial responsibility including, contract variation control and contract financial improvement.
• Provide support to the internal budgeting and forecasting process within the group for expected client financial and contract delivery.
• Management of financial risk, always ensuring control.
• Focus on driving efficiencies, process automation and delivering customer excellence.
• Support internal stakeholders to establish, maintain and manage a robust financial control environment.
• Act as key member of the commercial team, ensuring integration of finance operation with commercial and operational teams.
• Support stakeholders with ad hoc analysis requests

What you'll need to succeed
The Commercial Finance Business Partner will be a commercially focused accountant with experience of monthly reporting, management accounting and variance analysis skills. They will be a confident communicator able to communicate at all levels, resolve problems and influence.
They will have good IT skills including Excel to an intermediate/advanced level.
