About you
To be successful as the Finance Manager, you will have sound commercial experience, a minimum of 3 years of experience working as an accountant or finance professional, and are ready to join a small private business in the construction sector.

You will be willing to roll up your sleeves as this role is hands-on with one direct report. You will be practical, energetic, friendly and collaborative. About the opportunity
As the successful candidate you will be responsible for financial management practices, including job cost reporting, general financial reporting, budget and forecast preparation, risk management as well as the development of internal control policies and procedures. In addition to this, the Finance Manager will achieve success through:

• Running and managing all forms of finance for the company with the support of a very capable administrator.
• Ensure the accurate and timely production of all management reporting to enable operational and strategic decision making
• Actively manage the cashflow processes, forecasting and reporting
• Lead all company statutory compliance - notably around company administration, financial and taxation (with the support of an external tax specialist) and health and safety
• Actively contribute as part of the leadership team in the effective operation of the company; taking accountability as a whole for its commercial performance and achievement of objectives.
