Our client is a National and Queensland revered mid-tier chartered accounting firm with a stronghold in many regional QLD communities which has a broad and varied client base. Due to their ongoing growth, we are seeking to appoint an Intermediate Accountant to join the Business Services team.

Reporting to the Director, key deliverables include;

• Supporting the team within Business Services to service their loyal client base of SME clients.
• Maintaining a professional and consistent dialogue with clients while completing their tax and compliance needs in a timely manner.
• Planning your workload to reach productivity targets whilst maintaining accuracy.
• Actively participating in learning and professional development opportunities.

In order to complement the existing team and client base you will;

• Have experience in the preparation of BAS, financial accounts and income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, trusts, superannuation funds and companies.
• Possess a can-do attitude with a good mix of professionalism and consistency whilst having a relaxed disposition.
• The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication coupled with exceptional customer service skills.
• Have experience with Xero, APS or other accounting systems.
• Competence in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• 1-2 years of post-graduate accounting experience.
• Studying towards CA/CPA (or intention to commence).
