The Opportunity

Be the office all-rounder who is happy to roll up your sleeves and get involved in back-office duties, including accounting. customer service and adhoc general administration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Reporting - reconcile and analyse ledger accounts, provide job costing reports, prepare weekly/monthly financial reports, and deliver timely and relevant financial information to the Director.
  • Payroll & HR - weekly payroll and reporting, including superannuation obligations and workers compensation claims; HR compliance, including staff files, apprentice records and maintenance of relevant licenses for all employees; a total team of approx. 20 staff
  • Customer Service - high level of service to both external and internal customers.
  • Office Management - ensure all administration functions of the office are conducted efficiently.
  • Accounts Management - data entry and management of accounts payable, receivable, payroll, BAS, and Payroll Tax,

Skills & Experience:
  • Recently completed a BCom or in final year.
  • Strong interpersonal skills - able to communicate well with people at all levels when dealing face to face, over the phone or in written communication.
  • Organised with the ability to prioritise competing demands and utilise downtime effectively.
  • Likes to streamline processes, create templates and see everything running efficiently.
  • Always follows through with tasks and does not need to be reminded.
  • Presents a professional appearance for the business.
  • Flexibility to restructure your day as new tasks and deadlines appear.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as a member of a team, manage own performance and work with initiative to achieve expected outcomes.
  • Quick learner with a natural ability and desire to expand own role over time.
