Accountant/Bookkeeper expertly navigating all facets of the financial needs of a property development business.
The Role:
This role is working with one of our most premium platinum clients within the building / development industry. Multi award winning business, established for over 30 years. Our client is one of NSW's most successful, prestigious and recognised family owned developer groups.

They are looking for an experienced Accountant or Bookkeeper, capable of handling the financial tasks and challenges associated with a growing SME sized property development business. This is a full-time role and joins an expert team of supportive, intelligent and dedicated individuals.

Duties and responsibilities:
  • Working within a stand-alone accounting role managing all aspects of the accounting function
  • Analysing and providing sound recommendations of avenues for cost reduction
  • Generating reports on a frequent basis
  • Ensuring any excesses are appropriately identified and approved in accordance with company policy
  • Ensure accuracy of the P&L, balance sheet accounts and business cashflow
  • Creating monthly forecast adjustments and journals
  • Using analytical skills to review the group balance sheet and optimise utilisation of leverage
  • Collaborating with the external accountant in relation to ASIC and ATO dealings,
  • Management of property feasibility including timing of works and costings applied

In order to be a successful candidate, you will demonstrate the following:
  • A completed CPA qualification
  • Demonstrated experience in a management accountant or similar role
  • Knowledge of forecasting and budgeting processes
  • Superb written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong ability to think analytically and cohesively summarise findings
  • Working knowledge of accounting standard
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Must have intermediate to advanced skills in accounting systems including Xero, MYOB and Excel
  • Ability to multi-task, work well under pressure and adapt to changing priorities
