We're looking for a Senior Management Accountant who isn't afraid to challenge the status quo, who thrives on driving change within an organisation, and who's passionate about financial reporting; someone who knows how to easily break down important information to different levels within ING.

You'll be at the forefront of transforming, automating and digitising reporting processes, while at the same time providing insightful evaluation and financial reporting to the senior management team.

You'll be the 2IC to the Manager of Performance Reporting with huge future growth potential for this specialist role. You'll be a proactive financial partner and the first point of contact when it comes to performance for Finance Business Advice and Controls, as well as other major parts of the business.

What are you going to do? You will be…

  • Analysing complex data/information
  • Provisioning meaningful business information, including qualitative and quantitative analytics packs and commentary. Continually improving quality and depth of cost management and efficiency insights
  • Producing Head Office reporting (eg, QPC, Flash P&L, MIR, Retail data, DBD and other deliverables) which our CEO will use at their meetings - think high visibility!
  • Liaising with Head Office on requirements and providing analytical commentary for their understanding
  • Implementing continuous improvements to data gathering and reporting processes - simplifying the manual spreadsheet environment
  • Supporting business units, Finance Business Advice and Financial Control with financial modelling and ad hoc evaluation while demonstrating strong understanding of the businesses key value drivers


What are we looking for? Someone who has…

  • Experience in Financial Modelling
  • Advanced excel skills - with the ability to capably manage pivot tables, lookups and arrays, linking spreadsheets in a complex environment / basic macros
  • Experience in producing Tableau dashboards is highly preferred
  • A minimum of 6 years accounting experience preferably in retail banking
  • Excellent communication skills (both oral and written)
  • The ability to build long term effective relationships with the business units and assess executive information requirements easily and report accordingly
