Sovereign, a national supplier of top-quality chicken products to the SA market via various brands, is seeking to employ an Assistant Internal Auditor for its operations at Kariega.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and interested candidates for this position at the Finance Division. The Assistant Internal Auditor is responsible for continuously assessing the company's financial and other internal operational controls.
An Internal Auditing or Accounting qualification at a tertiary level and completed articles in Internal or External audit is required. One year post articles experience in a manufacturing environment will be advantageous. Own transport and a valid, unendorsed driver's license are required by the job holder.

* Conduct internal audits from planning to finalization, within the required timeframe
* Identify and report on weaknesses in the company's internal control environment
* Make recommendations for the improvement of any control weaknesses
* Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations
* Conduct follow up audits and ad hoc investigations
* Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders
* Compile weekly audit reports based on audit findings
* Participate in the preparation of Finance Review Committee reports and packs, as directed
* Participate in the preparation of the annual Internal Audit Plan
