We are currently seeking an experienced, and thorough Senior Accountant to join a rapidly growing, one of Canberra's largest private organisations in Canberra, who has a 20+ years of base in ACT. They have a number of associated entities that work under the same umbrella.

In this role, you will demonstrate your expertise in a variety of accounting practices, working along with the Finance, Commercial & Legal team who is responsible for the integrity of the financial system. You will need to have some managerial experience (supervising team) to be more desirable for the position.

Full time permanent position

Attractive annual salary (110-130 Inclusive of super)

Reports to: Finance Manager

Qualification: Minimum 5 Year's experience and CA / CPA (Must)

The primary focus of this role will be to:
  • Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, you as the Accountant will be performing a range of accounting duties for the organisation but not limited to:
  • Manage cash flow requirements and facilitate investment documentation for SF and SMRF.
  • Critically review, analyse, and provide advice on all current and proposed investments as required. Ensure compliance with investment policies.
  • Confidently lead discussions in the investment committee. Prepare agenda, respond to action items and review meeting minutes.
  • Year-end financial reporting requirements including preparation of financial statements, submission of annual returns with ACNC and liaison with the auditors as required.
  • Responsible for all accounting requirements of the group and its associated entities including, but not limited to:
  • Monthly management and analysis of financial reports, reconciliations of all balance sheet items.
  • Preparation of monthly BAS's for SF and SMRF.
  • Preparation of the annual budget and other forecasts.
  • Review coding of AP invoices and authorisation of payment batches.

Software:
Have knowledge of Microsoft Office software, (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and 0utlook) and Current Financial Operating System.

  • Able to achieve a police records check(should be a permanent Resident)
  • Should be Double Vaccinated
