Accountant
Major construction and services company in the CBD with a multi product base, engaging hands-on leadership and a large complex portfolio of assets, projects and pipeline.
Short summary
The head of finance is looking for an available and experienced accountant to join immediately on a temp or temp to perm basis
The Role
This is a temporary assignment to start immediately and could convert to permanency if you would like once the reporting and audit season has settled. Major change project directed by the finance and executive leadership is set to kick off shortly that will overhaul systems, process and structures of reporting.
If a temporary role for project work for a few months is only what you are looking for then this could work for you too.
The core of the role is what you'd expect in financial reporting and processing:
Assist in the final stages of the budget process for sign off mid June
Clean up, reconcile and ensure clean financial data for year end
Soft close year end accounts
May and June month end reporting both financial and management
Year end accounting treatments, financial statement preparations and reports
Preparation for audit
The team has been light on through the past 3 months and is behind on their readiness for reporting season and need your assistance.
The team will settle into a major finance systems transformation after audit which you could be a part of which is great for your experience, learning and CV.
Your Profile
You are an experienced and available Accountant looking for an immediate start. You will need to be qualified as a CA/CPA or equivalent with many years of year end reporting in Australia to draw upon from your knowledge to apply to what they need here in this contract.
