Contra Costa County Employees’ Retirement Association is hiring an Internal Auditor! The Internal Auditor will directly impact the operations of CCCERA. The Contra Costa County Employees’ Retirement Association (CCCERA) is a public employee retirement system established by the County of Contra Costa on July 1, 1945. The association is administered by the CCCERA Board of Retirement to provide service retirement, disability, death and survivor benefits for county employees and other participating agencies. The Internal Auditor is an objective source of independent evaluation of the retirement system’s business activities and internal control functions in support of CCCERA’s annual audit plan. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and the Board of Retirement Audit Committee, the Internal Auditor will possess sound judgment relating to CCCERA’s accounting, investment, and pension administration operations. The ideal candidate will have the ability to effectively plan and organize complex auditing projects and activities, as well as design, implement, and monitor internal audit programs, systems, and procedures. Working independently, the ideal candidate will develop audit plans and conduct audits. Confidentiality is key for this position so prior experience working on critical audits with the ability to make sound recommendations is essential.
