Eligo Consulting is a boutique firm that has been providing value-added financial accounting, management accounting and CFO services to a range of Not-for-Profit and SME businesses for over 8 years. We have an exciting opportunity for a management accountant to join our growing team.

We are looking for a Management Accountant with at least 3 years of experience in the same or similar role. This is a full-time role offering a package of up to $100,000 per annum.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • End-to-end financial management for 3-4 clients across a range of sectors
  • Assisting the CFO with the preparation of monthly management reporting, including clear interpretation of actual results against budget and accurate forecasts for the remainder of the financial year
  • Preparation of reports for Board and Executive Management teams
  • Preparation of returns and reports for funding acquittals
  • Cashflow reporting and analysis
  • Overhead analysis and financial modelling
  • Month End Close activities, including Income reconciliations and interpretation of operational performance metrics
  • Journal preparation and posting
  • Reconciliation of Funds in Advance balances and movements
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Performance of finance compliance activities (BAS, PAYG, Super)
  • Maintenance of organisational compliance registers
  • Term Deposit management and Investment reviews
  • Cost reviews
  • Responding to ad hoc queries from client executives and staff
  • Assist CFO with Annual budgeting exercise covering organisational and project budgets
  • Working closely with accounts assistant and wider team to ensure all client deliverables are met
  • Preparation of information for interim and annual audits
The ideal candidate will have experience and skills as follows:
  • 3-4 years of experience in financial or management accounting or other relevant roles
  • CA / CPA or part-qualified designation or equivalent
  • Experience in Not-for-Profit sector preferred
  • Advanced excel skills and experience working with Xero preferred
  • Strong accounting skills, eye for detail and inquisitive mind
  • Self-starter with the ability to think innovatively to find solutions and problem solve
  • Good communication skills in both written and oral form
  • Demonstrated aptitude for running and enhancing processes
  • Experience in preparation, oversight and accountability for P&Ls and balance sheets
  • Proven track record in providing robust and insightful financial analysis to support business decisions
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
