The Assistant Management Accountant will be responsible for the production of month end accounts for a range of store costs. This will involve flash reporting, budgeting and forecasting, working closely with key stakeholders and analysis of costs.

Our client are a leading, global travel retailer with 1,700 stores in over 30 countries globally. They are now looking for a progressive and driven Assistant Management Accountant to join their store team.

This is a hybrid role with 3 days in their City of London office.

Description

The Assistant Management Accountant will be responsible for the following:

• Production of monthly flash reports, balance sheet reconciliations and an on-going risk & ops register

• Preparation of detailed packs for all planning cycles for ODCs (Other Direct Costs), including bridges and explanations. Ensure involvement of key customers and stakeholders in the process.

• Produce store level P&L accounts at month end and at Budget and FC1 for intranet publication - using TM1 planning tool.

• Provide customer support for key stakeholders, particularly the Central Ops team - work with them to identify risks and ops in store costs, as well as assisting with invoice /contract management for key cost lines.

• Cost Analysis and production of management information to allow good decision making.

• Respond to a range of queries related to ODCs from Senior managers to local store managers, and auditors

• Tracking of all Capital Expenditure

Profile

The successful Assistant Management Accountant:

• ACCA/CIMA Part-Qualified and actively studying

• Previous experience working within Management Accounting

• Strong understanding and previous experience of Accruals and Prepayments

• Previous experience working within retail or multi-site business - preferred

• Intermeidate level Excel
