About us:
Pitcher Partners Sydney is a Professional Chartered Accounting firm located in the heart of the CBD. Due to on-going growth we currently have a vacancy for an enthusiastic and driven Auditor- Intermediate to join the team.

The Role:
You will play an important role in the provision of audit and assurance services to our clients. The position requires sound knowledge of accounting standards and the audit process. You will also be responsible for the delivery of audit work to high level for review, planning, which includes all related correspondence, documentation and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Complete assigned tasks within their specific time frame
• Produces quality work presented in a professional manner for clients and colleagues.
• Prepare neat, concise and clear working papers in accordance with the firm's standards.
• Design, determine the objectives and complete audit testing.
• Demonstrate awareness of the planning memorandum such that the level of audit testing conducted reflects the risks identified at the planning stage.
• Apply Accounting and Auditing standards in relation to audit issues identified.
• Conduct audits relating to Worker's Compensation, Solicitors Trust Accounts and Real Estate Trust Accounts.
• Prepare statutory financial reports from a client's trial balance and complete relevant sections of the disclosure checklist.
• Understand the XYZ Model Financial Accounts and the Audit Manual.
• Understand materiality and its impact on audit work.
• Prepare; basic tax consumptions and first draft management letters for smaller audit clients.
• Carry out analytical review procedures including ratio analysis.
• Effectively input data into MYOB Database.
• Communicate issues as they arise.
• Develop and maintain relationships within the firm and external stakeholders.
• Delegate and train more junior staff.

What we are looking for:
• 1-2 years qualified experience or 2-3 years cadet experience
• MS Office skills especially for use of Excel, Word or Outlook
• Excellent time management skills
• Develop and maintain relationships within the firm and external stakeholders.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Eagerness and willingness to learn
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team as required.
