Senior Accountant, Fund Accounting

The Senior Accountant will be the primary accountant responsible for the financial reporting of designated funds. Responsibilities include tracking and recording activities of the funds, preparing reports for internal and external stakeholders and overseeing internal and external audit procedures.

Key Duties / Responsibilities

• Oversee cash activity including reviewing and booking entries for cash activities; Prepare reconciliation and schedules supporting asset, liability and equity accounts; Formulate audit workpapers and manage external auditor process; Prepare and/or review quarterly trial balances, annual financial statements and footnotes; Collaborate with Operations and Corporate Accounting team; Strengthen current accounting processes and evaluate software solutions to drive improved business outcomes

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Accounting Major or equivalent accounting experience; CPA preferred; Minimum 4 years’ experience in accounting (public or private); Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP); Experience with accounting for investment companies under ACS 946 or demonstrated ability to learn the principles of investment company accounting; Advanced knowledge of MS Office products and expert level skills in Excel; Experience working with general ledger-based ERP systems; Advanced time management skills to handle multiple deliverables in a fast-paced environment
