Perfect role for a senior AP candidate to take that next step in their career - 6 month contract initially, likely to extend in Sydney's CBD!
Our client is a large, well known business based in Sydney's CBD and they are on the look out for an Assistant AP Manager to work alongside the AP Manager looking after their small team and the full AP process. This role will initially be a 6 month fixed term contract, but is likely to extend!
The key purpose of this role is to actively manage the small team to help meet KPI's and to suggest practical improvements to existing methodologies, to explore opportunities to improve the efficiency of the Accounts Payable function.

Responsibilities:
- Ensuring the transactional AP functions operate accurately and within agreed deadlines
- Ensuring all internal and external queries are handled in a timely and professional manner
- Manage transactional team KPI's
- Continually looking to identify ways to improve processes, procedures and the efficiency of the team
- Month end and adhoc reporting as required
- Providing training, guidance and support to the transactional teams
Skills & experience:
- At least 5+ years' experience working with AP
- Experience using a large ERP system as well as Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel Skills
- Previously demonstrated process improvement & change management experience
- Excellent communication skills with a customer service focus
- Possess a keen eye for detail and someone who thrives in a fast paced environment; an effective team collaborator who understands the need for building strong rapport with the wider business
