Ket responsibilities include
Global fund manager seeks Assistant Accountant for dynamic business with great opportunity for career development. This incredible business is a leader in the space and has an incredible reputation. They are seeking an Assistant Accountant to join their dynamic team. They have terrific offices in the beating heart of the CBD.
Ket responsibilities include
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes
- Assisting in the maintenance of the general ledger and reconciliations (including bank, credit cards and loan reconciliations)
- Maintenance of fixed asset registers including additions, disposals, transfers, and depreciation
- Maintenance of all standing journals
- Assisting in month-end tasks and the preparation of monthly management accounts
- Assist in budget and forecast process
- Liaising with external payroll providers and assisting with payroll operations for the Australian and US corporate entities
- Assisting the Corporate Financial Controller with tax reporting requirements including BAS/IAS filings, FBT returns and other returns for the Australian and US corporate entities
- Liaise with external accountants for the Australian and US corporate entities for audit and taxation purposes
- To collaborate with other colleagues to continuously improve the accuracy, timeliness and consistency of financial and tax information, processes, and procedures
- Assist in ad hoc work and projects
- The successful candidate will have knowledge of management and financial accounting and have tertiary qualifications at CA/CPA level or be working towards it
- 3 to 5 years experience in an Accountant role or accounting firm with similar job responsibilities; and
- Competent with accounting applications would be advantageous (i.e., Xero).
