We're seeking a Financial Assistant to join our highly experienced Finance Team.

The Role

Based in Kensington, JV is a fast paced Labour Hire and Permanent Recruitment Agency.

As the Financial Assistant, you will be working within the well organised Finance Team.

You will liaise with all levels of the organisation and a range of stakeholders. To begin, you'll be mainly assisting with the credit control and accounts receivable, however you will be taught all facets of the accounts function including payroll and reporting to ensure you receive well rounded training and to provide adequate holiday relief for the team.

This role is ideal for someone just starting out in the industry and looking to secure a long-term job opportunity. JV Recruitment is open to providing access to formal book-keeping qualifications for the right person.

Duties include:
  • Monitoring client debt and sending out statements
  • Liaising with clients in relation to overdue payments, credits and / or payment issues
  • Maintaining accounts receivable records
  • Allocating invoice payments and daily transactions into accounting software
  • Completing credit checks and monitor expiry dates for insurance cover for all new and existing clients
  • Forecasting and monitoring cash flow
  • General accounts and maintenance of reporting, bank reconciliation and allocating expenses
  • General administration
About you
  • Have a strong desire to learn all about accounts
  • Intermediate to Advanced experience with Excel
  • Experience with accounting software (MYOB, Xero) and bank reconciliation is beneficial but not essential
  • Experience with the recruitment, sales, real estate and/or construction markets (desirable)
  • Logical and proactive approach to completing tasks
  • Pleasant yet persuasive approach to negotiation skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • You like a laugh and can build relationships with all stakeholders
