Assistant Accountant, Telford £25,000 + study support and progression

Hays are working exclusively with a leading business who are recruiting for a newly created role within their Accounting team in Telford.

Your new role
You will work closely with the Management Accountant and Financial Controller and your duties will be very varied, but will include:

• Assisting with Accounts prep
• Month end accounts prep
• Accruals and prepayments
• Bank Reconciliations
• Journals
• Expenses
• Dealing with various revenue streams

What you'll need to succeed
You should ideally be AAT Level 4 or equivalent and have relevant accounting experience. Most importantly you should be keen to learn and complete professional accounting studies (ACCA/ CIMA) and develop your accounting skills. You should have a positive and enthusiastic approach as well as excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Strong IT skills including Excel are essential
