The Role

This role is ideally suited to an accounting professional who is looking for their second role in a bigger company.

Genuine career progression waits for a self-motivated, ambitious and technically astute Assistant Accountant to advance their career to a more senior Financial Accountant role down the track in around 18-24 months.
Reporting directly to the Finance Manager and Snr Financial Accountant, this busy and hands on/multi-faceted role will require you to perform across the main functions of general accounting and take ownership for small entities contained within the group.

Your primary duties will comprise of:

  • Journals
  • Fixed asset register
  • Assist budgeting/forecasting
  • Accruals
  • Assist with monthly management reports
  • G/L + B/S recs
  • P/L/Cash flow forecasting
  • Assist with audit preparation
  • FBT processing
  • BAS Statements
  • Bank and account reconciliations
  • Assist with end of month/year reporting
  • Processing payments and staff expenses
About You

You will be a driven degree qualified Assistant Accountant looking to commence CPA/CA, or be part or recently fully qualified CPA/CA. Ideally you will have a minimum 2-5 years' industry experience. The successful candidate will obtain the following attributes:
