We are currently looking for an Assistant Accountant to join our South West division based in Stoke Gifford, near Bristol Parkway station.

We are looking for an ambitious recent Accounting & Finance graduate who is looking to study towards a CIMA qualification; keen to develop and learn new skills, approaching all tasks with a can-do attitude.

In this role you will be involved in monitoring and forecasting actual costs such as overheads budgets. You would also assist in the production of the monthly Board Pack, cash flow analysis and Trial Balance reconciliations.

You would be responsible for CIS and VAT returns, and the approval of BACS runs created by the Commercial and Bought Ledger teams.

You would be also be responsible for monthly intercompany reconciliations, and all postings to the Bank accounts, together with their Bank reconciliations.

 

About you

 

This role requires a methodical and logically minded person. There are opportunities to develop and grow within the role and you will be supported in your learning and development.

Ideally you will be degree qualified at 2:1 or above, with a sound understanding of Microsoft Excel.

You need to be organised and enjoy working with all levels of the business – from those in the Bristol office to those who work on our sites – with the support of the Finance team around you.
