The Role
As the Assistant Accountant you will report directly into the Finance Manager, in a wider team of 6. You will have sound knowledge of the full accounting cycle and be expected to take sole ownership of the month-end process. This is a tight-knit team where you will be expected to roll up your sleeves and help out where needed.
Duties
· Reviewing and overseeing the AP and AR for month-end
· Processing journals, preparing pre-payments and accruals
· Account reconciliations - GL, P&L, Balance Sheet
· GST, FBT and PAYE
· Assisting with the cashflow and budgeting
· Manage and maintain the Foreign Currency
· Closing off the month-end
· Ad hoc reports and basic analysis
· Other ad-hoc duties

- You will have experience in a similar role in a medium sized company
- Intermediate excel skills and strong attention to detail
- Self-starter who can take full ownership of the preparation of the month-end accounts to review
- Analytical, practical, and logical thinker who can problem solve
