About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Japanese/English bilingual speaking accountant/senior accountant to join the Private Client Group in our Sydney office. The successful candidate will be responsible for (but not limited to):
• Reviewing accounting data prepared by a client's in-house accountant
• Preparing accounting reports for Australian and/or Japanese management
• Preparation of management accounts
• Communicating with clients
• Data entry of sales, purchases, bank account transactions/reconciliations and journal entries
• Preparation of BAS and IAS documents for lodgement
• Preparation of Income Tax Returns for Individuals and Companies, FBT, Payrolls etc
• Ad hoc tasks as required
Skills and Experience
We are looking for a candidate who demonstrates the following:
• Fluency in Japanese and understands the Japanese business culture
• Qualifications in Accounting e.g. Diploma, Bachelors degree etc
• Qualified, commencing or will commence the CA program
• Accurate Bookkeeping skills are a must
• Advanced accounting knowledge such as accruals, provisions, tax effect accounting is preferred
• Excellent management skills with deadlines
• Must be computer literate including reasonable understanding of Excel
• Experience in preparation of a company and/or an individual Income Tax Return is preferred
• Ability to liaise with ATO
• Previous work experience as a professional accountant is preferred
• Experience with Software such as Xero
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in a team environment。
